Scenario :

It's New Year's Eve 1925. The highly dysfunctional McTavish clan gather at Doom Castle in Scotland to hear the Will of their recently deceased relative, Jock McTavish. In the early hours of the morning, Jock's son, Hector McTavish is brutally murdered. Suspicion is now cast on Jock's supposedly 'natural' death. Could a member of the clan be responsible ? Could Jock's Will hold the key ?

Game Play Format:

Converted with the author who runs event days/weekends in the United Kingdom. Please note that the murder mystery is the same story, if you have already attended this event.

Apart from the introductory round, the game consists of question and answer rounds. The whole game is scripted, but you may ask questions beyond those found in your booklet at certain times. There are also some clue hunting phases, where the players hunt for clues to the crime. A crossword about the game is provided, for players to solve to find an additonal clue (this is optional), which may be tackled individually or as a team.

The murderer(s) find out who they are after everyone has handed in their accusation. All is revealed once the solution is read at the end of the game.
