When you purchase a game kit from Murder Mystery Host, you are purchasing a non-exclusive, non-transferable personal licence to use the digital files contained in that kit. You are not purchasing ownership of the content, artwork, or intellectual property within the kit.
All kits are for personal use only. Your purchase entitles you to print and play the game as many times as you wish.
Your licence permits the following uses:
✓ Print the kit as many times as you need for your own event
✓ Share individual character invitations with your players so they know their role before the event
✓ Share costume suggestions and character descriptions with players to help them prepare
✓ Use the kit for private gatherings — dinner parties, birthdays and similar personal occasions
✓ Reuse the kit with different groups of friends or family on separate occasions
The following are strictly prohibited:
✗ Sharing, distributing, or forwarding the complete kit files to other people
✗ Uploading the kit or any substantial part of it to any website, file sharing service, or cloud storage accessible to others
✗ Selling, reselling, or commercially exploiting the kit or any part of it
✗ Using the kit for paid commercial events where guests are charged an admission fee, without prior written permission
✗ Reproducing or republishing the story, characters, clues, or game mechanics in any format
✗ Claiming authorship or ownership of any element of the kit
✗ Modifying and redistributing the kit as your own work
Each kit purchase covers use by one household. If a friend or colleague would like to run the same game, they are welcome to purchase their own copy. This is what keeps Murder Mystery Host running and allows our human authors to keep creating new games.
If you wish to use a kit as part of a paid commercial event, venue experience, or professional entertainment service, please contact us before doing so. Commercial licences are available — we are happy to discuss arrangements that work for both parties.
All content within our game kits — including but not limited to the storylines, character names and descriptions, clues, artwork, and game mechanics — is the intellectual property of Murder Mystery Host and is protected by copyright law. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution may result in legal action.
As our kits are digital products that are accessible immediately upon purchase, we are unable to offer refunds once the files have been accessed or downloaded. However, if you have purchased the wrong kit or experienced a genuine technical issue, please contact us — we will do our best to find a fair solution.
Our game kits are provided for entertainment purposes. Murder Mystery Host accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of our products. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the suitability of any kit for a particular purpose.
